Crank Baits

These are some of the best lures as they mimic the most popular target of what bass forage on whether it is shad, bluegill or other species of fish. They come in a variety of sizes as well and some are made for fishing around certain types of structures. Some of the different kinds are squarebills, for shallow structure fishing, medium cranks, for 6-12 feet of water, and deep cranks for the 12-25 foot of water column. It's best to use the size that will make contact with the bottom in the depth of water you are targeting.
