This lake is a little gem tucked between the more popular Travis and LBJ. The north end is shallow, with grass and flats where topwater and moving baits work best; the lower end is much deeper, where deep cranks and jigs shine along the many ledges and rock cliffs. Docks are a great place to flip for some nice bass. A lot of good quality fish come out of this reservoir, and the recreational traffic is very low - so the fishing is a lot more relaxing throughout the day.

Like the rest of the Highland Lakes chain, you'll also find Guadalupe bass, white bass, catfish and panfish like bluegill and crappie. I release the bass; white bass, crappie and catfish are good for the table.
