Bachelor Party Fishing in Austin
A guided bass trip is one of the best daytime plans for an Austin bachelor party: a morning on Lake Travis or Lake Austin, a little friendly competition for the biggest fish, and you're back in town by early afternoon. I bring in extra guides and boats for bigger groups, and all the tackle is provided.
Most Austin bachelor weekends are built around nights. A morning on the water balances that out - fresh air, a real chance at a trophy largemouth, and stories that last longer than the hangover. I've guided these lakes for 26+ years, so the groom gets the best shot at the fish of the weekend.
How a bachelor party trip works
- Close to downtown - Lake Austin and Lake Travis are a short ride from most Austin rentals. I can pick up at a lakeside dock within reason.
- Boats for the whole crew - up to 5 guests in my boat (2-3 is most comfortable). For bigger parties I hire as many guides as you need.
- A contest for the groom - biggest fish, most fish, or boat vs boat. Loser buys dinner.
- Half day is the favorite - 4+ hours in the morning, then back for the rest of the weekend.
- All tackle provided - nobody has to pack rods on a plane. Bring a license, sunglasses, a hat, food and drinks (no glass).
- Video of the big one - YOLOtek cameras on my 2025 Phoenix 21 XE catch the moment.
Rates
Each boat is priced like a regular trip: half day $450, 3/4 day $575, full day $650 for 1-2 anglers, plus $50 per extra person. A $200 deposit per boat, per day books the date. Full rates and policies. A trip also makes a good gift from the groomsmen - see gift certificates.
