Lake Georgetown 4/28/26

On the water April 28, 2026 · by Bryan Cotter, Texas Hawgs

Hit up Lake Georgetown with my buddy and fishing partner, Darrell. We just wanted to stretch the line on a few and I haven't been fishing on this lake in a very long time. We hit a few places, fishing in 5-15 feet of water using some moving baits and soft plastics without much luck, catching a few small fish.

I decided to move up river since the water was up some and started catching fish right away working cover in newly covered fresh green brush that was 1-3 feet of water. We caught our fish on craw worms and creature baits flipping in the middle of trees, thin bushes and flooded grass. We caught a nice little limit and headed home. Good times!
