Here is how to find good fishing spots near me
Check out a map
On the map, look for all bodies of water near you and list them. Search online for any fishing reports you can find for each lake or pond. Also, make sure it is accessible to the public as a bass is not worth your life. It is Texas after all. Note any and all access points to said water body so you can park near the closest area. Make sure you are parking legally as well as you don't want to come back to your car towed off or worse yet, getting a ticket or your vehicle broken into. If there is a park or designated area to park, by all means use it. Most public lakes and ponds will have places to park. If they don't, chances are you shouldn't be there.
Check your local fishing forums. Sometimes people mention some good places to go that are found in neighborhoods or other places that are off the beaten path and that are public. You can also check Facebook groups or other online groups that are about fishing and the outdoors. You can even post up and ask where are some great places to go. I have included some places on my other page, Fishing Places. If you know of a place you'd like to share, please send me the info through an email.
