Lake LBJ Fishing Report - November 7, 2008

On the water November 7, 2008 · Lake LBJ · by Bryan Cotter, Texas Hawgs

Fishing has been pretty good on LBJ so decided to head there this Monday am. Started out along some riprap on the lower end and quickly started catching some on flukes. Decided to throw a square billed crankbait and hooked into a 5 pounder. It was a good start catching 5 or 6 along this area. Decided to move to some docks across the way and started catching more on flukes again and hooked into a huge one on a jig but it came off before it reached the boat. Good looking fish though. We continued throwing mainly flukes catching bass every where we went. We ended the trip catching a few dozen bass up to the 5lb range. After dropping off the clients, I decided to go 'look' at a few spots throwing a frog. I hooked up with a few more 4 pound fish including a 5 and a 6 lber. All in all it was one of the best days on LBJ I've seen catching a 6, 3 5's and several 4's for the biggest fish with the best 5 going over 25lbs. Great day on the water.
