Choke Canyon Fishing Report - July 14, 2009

On the water July 14, 2009 · Choke Canyon · by Bryan Cotter, Texas Hawgs

Hit Choke Tuesday and Thursday. Tuesday had some nice wind going and Thursday started out with a little wind but died down to a mirror surface. Tuesday was the better day by far with 3 around the 6lb range with the largest at 6.25lbs. We had several in the 5lb range as well with the best 5 going around 28-29lbs. Thursday, the biggest was over 5lbs catching 2 over 5, and a bunch in the 2-4lb range. Best 5 on Thursday was around 20lbs. Both days we caught 28-30 fish each day. The best baits seem to be flukes, senkos, crankbaits, frogs and spinnerbaits. The spinnerbaits we were using are made by Mr. Blitz and they are awesome. Check out his site here, Mr. Blitz. You can soon order online there or shoot me an email.
