Lake Travis, Choke Canyon and Falcon

Choke Canyon · by Bryan Cotter, Texas Hawgs

Lake Travis is fishing good in the mornings with the topwater bite getting better and better. We are finding some big schools where you can catch 10-30 on walking style baits and small swimbaits. A shallow or medium diving crankbait will get you some nice ones as well as a wakebait.

If you are looking for a big adventure, we are crushing bass on Choke Canyon right now. Numbers are very good and you might catch 50-80 bass a day or more. Some very nice larger ones are showing up as well. Lake Falcon is also producing some nice bass as well. Two days minimum to book there and I have a place for you to stay too. Holler when you are ready to go catch some Texas Hawgs!

Want a day like this on Choke Canyon? I guide it year-round - all tackle provided, family friendly. See the Choke Canyon fishing guide and rates & booking, or call/text 512-762-0190.
