Lake Austin keeps doing what it does best -- putting bass in the boat day after day. The pure numbers have slowed down a little compared to earlier in the fall, but that's not a bad trade right now.
With the weather starting to change, some of the bigger bass in the lake are getting more active and showing up more often. You may not catch quite as many as you would in late summer, but your odds of hooking a quality fish are getting better every week.
If you want a consistent day on the water with a real shot at a better-than-average bass, Lake Austin is a great pick this time of year.
