The second trip of the day on Lake Travis was a dad, his 14-year-old son and two friends. The older boys had more fishing experience, and it showed -- they got into the bass right from the start.

When that first bite died off, I made a move to a main-lake point, and it was game on. The boys caught one after another, and then their dad finally woke up and started whacking them, catching six in a row in a hurry. It was a popcorn moment for sure.
A triple at the main-lake point -- including the son’s 4.5-pound hawg!
But the big one of the day belonged to his son, who landed a beautiful 4.5-pound bass. What a hawg! Great day with a fun group!
