Day two of the three-day Lake Falcon trip, and my clients swapped boats for a fresh shot. The bass bite stayed steady - plenty of fish willing to eat - but the size just wasn't showing early. No problem: Falcon has more good water than you can fish in a day, and we proceeded to hit as many proven spots as we could.
We started on a nice stretch of rock throwing soft plastics, and while working it over we found a sweet brush pile that I had my clients take turns picking apart. When one finally connected, it was a fat 5.25-pound largemouth. Mark was super happy with that fish, and once again it was the biggest bass of the day between both boats. The guys were even kind enough to let me make a few casts, and I landed a nice 6-pounder off the same brush-pile pattern.

Mark's 5.25-pounder, pulled off a Lake Falcon brush pile.

The 6-pounder the guys let me sneak in - the brush piles held the better fish.
