Final day of the three-day Lake Falcon trip, so I took out the two anglers who hadn't yet boated a bass over 5 pounds - including the guy who booked the trip. Falcon gave us plenty of bites again from the start, but the bigger largemouth were still playing hard to get. We ran the milk run, hitting every spot that had produced the biggest bites over the previous two days.
On one of the brush piles I noticed the bigger bass were sitting a weird way around the cover, so I had my clients change how they worked their lures through it. That adjustment paid off - after catching a few better fish, Dan finally hooked the one he was after, a 5.5-pound Lake Falcon largemouth. And for the third day in a row, it was the biggest bass landed between both boats.

Three days on the border, quality bass in the boat every day, and another reminder that even when Falcon's big-fish bite gets tough, staying on proven water and adjusting the presentation gets it done.
