Stillhouse Hollow is fishing pretty good when you can find the fish. I fished the North Central Region BASS Federation tournament today and did pretty decent. I worked my way to a ledge and started catching fish as soon as I reached it. I missed two 3 lb'ers, changed out the hook for a Mr. Blitz Toad Toter, and caught 3 in a row which were two 2 pounders and 1 hawg at 8.01 lbs. If I could catch 1 more like that I thought, things would look really well. After the fish stopped biting there, I headed over to another spot. 1st cast was a small 1.5 and a few casts later caught another little swimmer. After this, I just headed down the bank chunking a crankbait and had 3 solid hits from 3-5 pound fish but could not land any.

With 30 minutes to go, I headed back to where the weigh-in was going to be and started cranking there. Crazy thing happened, I hooked into a fish much bigger than the 8 I caught and it stripped a lot of drag out and right before I got it up enough to net it, it came off and another little 4" bass grabbed my crankbait right under the boat. I'm sure it was laughing at me as I released it. All I can say is...possibilities...LOL.
I did manage big bass of the tournament and finished with 14.41lbs for 5th place. 1st place was over 22.
