Stillhouse Hollow Fishing Report - October 10, 2008
On the water October 10, 2008 · Stillhouse Hollow · by Bryan Cotter, Texas Hawgs
Hit up Stillhouse Hollow from 7a-3p. Fishing was decent starting out with a few up to 4lbs off one of my favorite ledges. After the bite stopped there, we headed for a rocky wall with a point. There we caught several up to maybe 3lbs mainly using a Stanley Ribbit frog tight to cover. We then moved to some other rocky banks and cranked out some more bass, nothing big though. Moving to a shallow creek, we caught a few more on cranks and finally hooked into a nice smallmouth over 4lbs on the frog again. It was my first smallie on a frog. Nice. We caught a few more along those banks and ended the day with a few off a wind blown bank with shallow grass. Fun day on the water.
