Fayette County Fishing Report - March 8, 2013
On the water March 8, 2013 · Fayette County · by Bryan Cotter, Texas Hawgs
Fishing was good on Fayette County today. Started out hitting points in 4-6 foot of water throwing lizards and crankbaits. The black snot was out in force. If you were around that stuff, you were not getting bit. So we just went searching for the clear bottom and when we found it, it was game on. We caught lots of 2-4 pound fish once we started throwing the El Grande Lures Gila Monster Jrs. These baits are fantastic and they float a bit making them hard to resist for those bass. They come in great colors too and since the water was pretty dark, we threw the green pumpkin w/ green & purple flake. After catching a bunch near the clean grass in our 2nd spot, we moved to another creek channel with some rock in the middle of it and my client caught them pretty good here as well. we ended the day at the discharge catching some on the Gila Jr and crankbaits. Good day on the water.
