Lake Travis Fishing Report - November 10, 2007

On the water November 10, 2007 · Lake Travis · by Bryan Cotter, Texas Hawgs

Fished the Fisher's of Men Open Team Tournament from 6am till 2pm. Fishing was good for numbers, getting a limit by 8am on crankbaits and senkos, but we only had 1 over 2 pounds. It wasn't until noontime that we found a nice frog bite out on main lake ledges just off the flooded brush. I caught 3 nice ones in just a short amount of time, one being around 3 pounds. I had one more off a crankbait about 2.5 but the hooks got caught on the end of the net and it got off. That would have got us up to about 12.5lbs and a check but we ended up with 11.32, a nice healthy Lake Travis sack putting us in 15th out of 78 boats. That's fishing though. The bite was good all day and was a blast fishing the waters of Travis.
