Lake Travis Fishing Report - January 12, 2020
On the water January 12, 2020 · Lake Travis · by Bryan Cotter, Texas Hawgs
Hit midlake on Lake Travis today with some clients. It was 30 degrees when I launched. Burr chilly! We started out pretty quick when one of my clients, who has never fished a day in his life, hooked up with one on his very first cast. Now that's how a good addiction should start. lol It was not a big one but about 2 pounds which is pretty decent for Travis. It wasn't long before he topped it though with one around 3 pounds.
My other client was a long time regular that has caught a lot of fish and some very nice ones from my boat. He was catching them pretty consistent on a shaky head worm after initailly starting out with a wake bait. He did catch a very nice fat guadalupe on that wake bait though. We ended the half day with around 2 dozen. Good times!
