Lake Travis Fishing Report - November 4, 2012

On the water November 4, 2012 · Lake Travis · by Bryan Cotter, Texas Hawgs

Lake Travis has been fishing pretty good as the weather cools off. We started out on a shallow shoal with a nice ledge on the edge throwing top waters, jerk baits and crankbaits. The jerkbait produced the first bass. As it was being reeled in over the ledge, a larger bass attacked the 2 lb or so one that was hooked up and took the bait away. My client was very happy and landed the bigger one that went almost 4 pounds. Good one! We then hit a deep point on main lake and got back into them using crankbaits and crawworms... We continued on this pattern until the end of the half day trip with good results. All three of my clients caught plenty of fish and had a great time.
