Lake Travis Fishing Report - May 20, 2013
On the water May 20, 2013 · Lake Travis · by Bryan Cotter, Texas Hawgs
Made another Lake Travis night trip and again we caught a bunch and went over 80 this time! We started out on the ledge from last week that's been producing and caught over a dozen largemouth and Guadalupe bass there. After the sun went down, we headed out to the lights. When I pulled up to the first light, the whites were already piled up and schooling. My graph was black from 7 foot down to 25 at the bottom. We immediately rigged up with spoons and started slaying the whites. After catching a few whites, I hooked into a nice striper and it fought hard on light tackle. It went over 10 lbs. We proceeded to catch white after white with a few nice crappie mixed in. This night was a meat haul and after it was all over, we had 59 fish in the ice chest including the 10.16 lb striper, 50 whites, 5 crappie, 2 largemouth and 1 guadalupe bass. What a fun trip.
